Italian media has revealed new details about the sinking of the ship in Italy in which one Israeli perished. The deceased was a Mossad agent.
On Monday night the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the person killed on the ship was a retired Israeli security service employee.
According to the reports, the event on the ship, which was initially defined as a “birthday party,” was actually a meeting between intelligence agents.

Earlier, it was announced that there were 20 Italian and Israeli intelligence agents on the boat. It was also reported that after the incident, 10 Israeli agents were transferred on an emergency military flight back to Israel.
At the same time, the agents of the Italian intelligence service were secretly taken out of the emergency rooms where they were hospitalized in Italy in order not to reveal their identities.
