In a joyous and ceremonial event, the cornerstone was laid on Sunday afternoon for a new dormitory on the Bet El Yeshiva Center campus. Hundreds attended the event including rabbis, donors and local politicians.
At Bet El Institutions, the dormitories for the Yeshiva Center, the IDF Prep Academy, the Bnei Tzvi Boys High School and Gluck Girls Ulpana are all literally “bursting at the seams” due to the demand for increased enrollment. Construction projects and plans are underway for each institution.
The honored guest at Sunday”s ceremony was Dr. Shmuel Katz of Bal Harbour, Florida who together with his wife Evelyn, donated the seed money to kick off the construction. In his insightful remarks, he emphasized that valuable education contributes to the safety and the stability of all good people in the Land of Israel. Dr. Katz urges every lover of Zion to become an ambassador by familiarizing himself with the simple facts of Israel”s just cause. “The facts are on our side,” he proclaimed, “so, we don”t need to lie.”
