A factory worker in his 50s was killed as a result of a work accident at a factory yard on Hutzot Hayotzer street in Ashkelon.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Lior Vaknin said: “According to the factory workers, one of the workers was trapped inside a machine that crushes rocks and stones. Unfortunately, his death was pronounced at the scene due to the severity of the injuries he suffered.”
Earlier in the day, a 60-year-old construction worker was moderately injured in a work accident on Hamelitz Street in Ashdod.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs Aharon Nogrian and Yaakov Mazuz said: “This is a worker who fell on the stairs during renovation work at an educational institution. We provided him with initial treatment and then he was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment, with his condition defined as moderate.”
